Vibe-Coded App to Production

Vibe-Coded → Production · Fixed-Price Production Spec · You Own Everything

Your Vibe-Coded App Works. Now It Has to Survive Real Users.

The demo lands. People start depending on it. And nobody's sure it will hold. That's a normal moment — not a failure — and it's the one we're built for.

I built something that works — and I'm scared to touch it.

Real people are using it now, and I can't tell if our data is safe.

The person who vibe-coded it has moved on.

It fell over once already. I don't know why, or if it'll happen again.

Built It in Lovable, Replit, Bolt, or v0? That's Exactly What We Harden.

You got to a working app fast with a vibe-coding tool — Lovable, Replit, Bolt.new, v0, Cursor, Bubble, or DataButton. Getting it to hold up in production is a different job. That one's ours.

Assessing an AI-built prototype

Does this sound familiar?

You Shipped Something That Works. Now It Has to Hold.

Recognize three or more? You're in the moment this page is about — and it's a normal one, not a failure.

Real users depend on it now

It started as a demo. People are running their day on it.

Nobody's sure how to deploy it

The person who built it moved on, and shipping a change is scary.

There's no login or access model

Anyone with the link can see everything.

It fell over once already

It came back — but nobody's confident it won't happen again.

Credentials live in the code

Keys and passwords are sitting in the repo.

You can't answer "is our data safe?"

And someone with authority has started asking.

Sound like you? That's the AI-built prototype gap — and it's crossable.

Why this happens

It Isn't Your Team's Fault. It's the Shape of the Tools.

AI made getting to a working demo nearly free — genuinely new, and a good thing. The catch is what it leaves out.

AI accelerates the work; humans make the decisions

What AI makes nearly free

  • A working demo, fast
  • First-pass UI and scaffolding
  • Boilerplate and glue code

What it doesn't — and production needs

  • A real security and access model
  • Tests, observability, and a deploy path
  • Architecture a second engineer can own

Vibe coding gets you to "it works on my screen." The demo and the durable system are two different jobs — and the second one is ours.

The standard

What "Production-Ready" Actually Means

Seven dimensions to measure any prototype — and any quote — against. Screenshot it. Hold every vendor, including us, to it.

Production-Ready Scorecard

Security & access

An auth model, least-privilege access, and secrets kept out of the code.

Data integrity

Data that stays correct under concurrent use — validated, backed up, recoverable.

Architecture

Structure that a second engineer can read, extend, and reason about.

Test coverage

Automated tests so a change doesn't silently break something else.

Observability & alerting

You find out it's down from a monitor — not from a customer.

A real deploy path

Shipping a change is a routine, repeatable step, not an act of courage.

The seventh: documented ownership — you own the code, the repo, and the infrastructure, and you can hand them to anyone.

The Production Spec deliverable is yours to keep

The wedge

Start With a Fixed-Price Production Spec.

Comparing a build quote to near-zero AI-tool spend is the wrong compare. A fixed-price Production Spec is a decision you can make without a committee — and the deliverable is yours whether or not you hire us to build.

Production Spec

Start here
$2,500 fixed · yours to keep

Typically weeks, not months

A scoped engagement that answers one question — is this buildable and safe as it stands, and what will it really take to get it there — and hands you the written answer.

  • Findings, risk ranking, and a remediation plan
  • A build estimate you can take to a budget conversation
  • A senior-engineer level-of-effort estimate
  • The whole Spec is yours — even if you never hire us

Free Consultation

Free 1 hour · no obligation

Not sure a Production Spec is the right first step? Talk it through with a senior engineer and leave knowing which step makes sense next and what it costs — whether or not it's us.

  • A senior person, not a sales rep
  • A straight answer on salvage vs. rebuild
  • A scoped next step and what it costs

The Production Spec is yours outright — take it to any team. You own the code, the repo, and the infrastructure — always.

How it runs

No Black Box. Senior Engineers in the Loop.

A fixed-scope path from "is it safe?" to "it holds." AI is used under engineering discipline — not instead of it. You own everything at every step.

Step 1

1 · Production Spec

Fixed price. Fixed scope.

We audit what exists, rank the risks, and tell you what it takes to make it production-ready. You get a findings report and a build estimate — yours to keep regardless.
Step 2

2 · Harden or Rebuild

Whatever the audit says — no more, no less.

Usually you don’t start over. We salvage what’s sound, replace what isn’t, and bring it up to the production-ready standard on a fixed scope.
Step 3

3 · Operate (optional)

We can run it with you.

A flat-rate retainer for the teams that would rather we keep it healthy — monitoring, fixes, and senior review — the same way we’ve run products for years.

Questions We Get Before the Call

Up to a point — and that point is real. Prompting is great for features on top of a sound foundation. It doesn't give you an access model, tests, or a deploy path, because those aren't things you prompt into existence one screen at a time. When real users and real data arrive, that ceiling shows up fast. The Production Spec tells you exactly where you are against it.

Usually not. Most of what a good prototype captures — the workflow, the intent, the data model in rough form — is worth keeping. The audit decides salvage vs. rebuild on the evidence, not on a reflex to bill a rewrite.

You can, and sometimes it's fine. The question isn't the hourly rate — it's accountability and total cost. A cheap rebuild that you can't hold anyone to, can't get supported, and have to redo is the most expensive option there is. We answer on ownership: you keep the code, the repo, and the infrastructure, and a senior engineer is named and in the loop.

Pick your next step

Three Ways to Start — You Choose the Commitment.

Every one of them ends with something concrete. None of them is a long-term contract.
